About Us

Armory Pickleball isn't your typical local gym. We’re a high-energy, community-driven collective built for players who live for the game. It all started with our flagship—a massive, 110-year-old sandstone Armory in Bellingham that we flipped into a world-class pickleball sanctuary. Since then, we’ve taken that same "utopian pickleball" mission to Marysville and Ellensburg, creating the ultimate PNW circuit for anyone who wants a elite indoor experience.

We’re the home of the 24/7-style grind (open 5 AM – 11 PM), pro-grade concrete, and permanent nets. Whether we’re pioneering the latest rally scoring formats in our regional tournaments or hosting the next generation of athletes at our Youth Tournaments, we stay on the front lines of the sport. No rain, no wind, no crowded public parks—just pure, high-performance pickleball in the most iconic settings in Washington.

The game is evolving. Come play.

History of the Armory Building in Bellingham

Built in 1910 from rugged, local Chuckanut sandstone, the Bellingham Armory wasn't just built to stand—it was built to last. For decades, these massive walls served as the tactical heart of the Washington National Guard, acting as a high-stakes training and storage site through both World Wars. When you walk through the doors today, you’re walking where generations of soldiers once drilled under the same towering timber arches that now house our courts.

But the Armory has always had a dual soul. Once the boots stopped marching, the building transformed into the city’s favorite social heartbeat. It’s a place defined by movement—from the legendary big band dances of the mid-century to the neon-soaked era of the Rolladium, where the community spent decades roller skating across these very floors.

We aren't just the next chapter; we’re the revival. By flipping this historic drill hall into Armory Pickleball, we’ve brought that original energy back to life. We’ve traded the skates for paddles and the drills for dinks, preserving over a century of Bellingham history while building the ultimate sanctuary for the modern player.
